Atlanta Ag 4-H hosts special Veterans Day meeting

In observance of Veteran's Day members of the Atlanta Ag 4-H Club held a special patriotic meeting recently. Included in the events of the meeting was a special guest speaker, Marine Veteran Richard Johnson. Johnson shared with the membership a video highlighting his recent trip to Washington D.C. with the Honor Flight program. Members participated in other Veteran's Day activities and also learned how to properly fold the American Flag.

Honored Guest – for this special Veteran’s Day, we had former Marine, Richard Johnson, who shared a video highlighting his Honor Flight trip on October 30th to Washington DC. He visited War Memorials and the Air and Space Museum. It was red carpet day and a memorable trip for Veterans.

 

Brent Carlock, Army Veteran assisted Cavit Schempp and Winton Carlock in the Flag Folding of the American Flag. Mary Carlock narrated the Symbols for each fold of the 13 folds of the American Flag.

Cloverbuds - A Veteran’s Day Mission with Molly Schempp – the Cloverbuds made a Remembrance Poppy. They learned the meaning of the Poppy and the meaning of why they are red.
