LINCOLN
Critical repairs have been completed at two well sites and our south
water treatment plant including replacing motors and pumps. This
work has allowed us to start increasing pressure throughout the
system.
Being a part of the American Water family we were fortunate to have
access to resources and local contractors which enabled us to
receive critical parts quickly – normal lead time for these parts
would be a week or more without our local, state and national
resources. The local team worked quickly to complete the work and
began taking water quality samples required before the boil water
order can be lifted.
Barring unforeseen circumstances, we expect to lift the boil water
order tomorrow, Nov. 28, 2018. Customers will be notified via our
CodeRED call system. The local media and emergency response team
will also be notified.

We’ve provided bottled water to schools and classes should resume as normal on
Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018.
Until the boil water order notification is issued, customers should continue to
boil their water prior to consumption and to conserve water use.
We thank Mayor Goodman, Fire Chief Miller and the local emergency personnel for
their teamwork and support. We also want to thank our customers for their
support and patience – the positive response is greatly appreciated by our team
who are working around the clock to return service back to normal.
Thank you!
