Lincoln kept the score close most of the game,
but Roosevelt held the lead almost the entire way. The Lakers
were up by just two points at the half (19-17) then outscored
the Lady Lynx 23-16 in the third quarter and kept the pressure
on in the fourth to seal the 65-53 win.
The loss drops Lincoln’s record to 3-6 on the season.
LC sophomore Kaliea Monteiro (Rockford) led her team in scoring
with 17 points and in rebounds with eight. Junior guard Nautica
Preston (Chicago) scored 15 points.
Lincoln will try to rebound from the loss on Saturday at home
against Indiana University Northwest at 3:00 PM.
