LINCOLN
The boil water order issued in our Lincoln District on Sunday, Nov,
25, 2018 has been lifted. Conservation measures continue until
further notice.
We thank the Lincoln community for their patience and understanding
as our team worked to make repairs to critical water service
equipment impacted during the recent winter storm. Critical repairs
have been made and water quality tests have confirmed the water
continues to meet all U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Safe
Drinking Water Act standards and regulations. It is no longer
necessary for customers to boil their water before drinking or
cooking. During the boil water order, Illinois American Water
performed a series of tests to determine if the water met regulatory
drinking water standards. Samples were taken from sites in the
affected area and tests confirmed that the water meets all state and
federal requirements.

Customers are asked to continue to conserve water as the system returns to
normal operation. Customers should use tap water for only essential purposes
until further notice. Please do not use tap water for washing clothes or filling
bathtubs. We will notify customers when conservation efforts have been lifted.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
Thank you!
