To the editor:

I would like to send a "Purple" Heartfelt Thank You for our silent, quarter and live auction (Auctioneer Cole Baker), that was held on Sunday October 28th.

We are blessed with wonderful friends and businesses! Greg "Haji" Patel was so very generous for the venue, as well as Danny Tackett and his chicken n' picken orchestra!

I definitely have to give a shout out to Cheryl Baker, Ashley Getchel, Jackson Getchel, and Shirley Winterbauer, LCHS Honor Society, Marilyn Armbruster, Jan Hahn, and the MOPHA/MOPH that worked. It takes a TEAM and we got 'er done!

[to top of second column in this letter]

Thank you to the community that supported our causes, Land of Lincoln Honor Flight, All Veterans Park on Union St. (flag replacement and landscaping, etc.), and funding scholarships!

A Huge Thank You to ALL of the Businesses, Friends, monetarily donated, or by assembling a basket or a craft, or an item to be on the auction!

Also, thank you to all of those who attended and had fun spending their money for worthy causes!

Last but not least,to Joe Schaler, my man, that put up with me, throughout this endeavor! See you next year!

Yours in Patriotism,
Melanie Schaler,
Military Order of the Purple Heart Auxiliary President #159
