Lincoln Police Department releases statement on recent death investigation

[November 30, 2018] 

LINCOLN 

On Saturday, November 24th 2018, at 10:42 p.m., Lincoln Police were dispatched to the 900 Block of 8th Street, Lincoln, in reference to an unresponsive subject outside of a residence.


Officers arrived to find a deceased female who did not reside in the immediate vicinity. Lincoln Police were assisted by the Illinois State Police and the Logan County Sheriff’s Office with the securing and processing of scene and the collection of evidence. The preliminary findings of this investigation show the deceased female succumbed to the elements, with the preliminary cause of death being hypothermia. This investigation will remain open until the preliminary findings can be confirmed.
