[October 25, 2018]  TOXAWAY NC - Claude M. Lynch, Jr., age 79 of Lake Toxaway, NC passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 in Flat Rock, NC.

Visitation: 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home

Graveside Service: Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, at 12 noon Monday, October 22, 2018.

Obituary

Claude M. Lynch, Jr., age 79 of Lake Toxaway, NC passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 in Flat Rock, NC.

He was born on April 10, 1939 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Claude M. Lynch, Sr. and Billie Davis Lynch. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Lynch.

Mr. Lynch was a retired U. S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. and a longtime member of the Illinois National Guard. He was a member of Cornerstone Community Church in Lake Toxaway, NC.

 

Survivors include two daughters, Susan Sheley and husband Jim of New Holland, and Patricia Ushman of Thayer; two sisters, Marilynn Lynch of Charleston, MS and Betty King and husband Tom of Watauga, TX; sister-in-law, Linda Freeman of Lake Toxaway; three grandchildren, Ashley, Jameson and Mark; five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, at 12 noon Monday, October 22, 2018.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity or to Cornerstone Community Church.
