Lincoln Police and Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital host drug take back day September 29th

[September 11, 2018]  On Saturday, September 29th the Lincoln Police Department, in conjunction with Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital will host a Drug Take Back event. The event will be held at the new Lincoln Police Department, 710 5t h Street, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Officer Christy Fruge will be on hand cooking lunch from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., courtesy of the Lincoln D.A.R.E. Program.

For every pound of medicine brought in, you will be entered into a drawing to win a $100 Wal-Mart gift card. You do not need to be present to win! This drawing is for anyone of any age.

We will have "runners" that day as well. If you cannot leave your home you can call the police department and give your address. A runner will come directly to your home and pick up your medication for disposal.

Please remember, we DO NOT accept liquid s, lotions, salves, drops, etc.. We will accept any type of pills including pet medications.
