[September 11, 2018]    The Lincoln College Men’s and Women’s Golf teams swung into action this past weekend by participating in the Olivet-Nazarene University Intercollegiate Invite hosted at the Kankakee Elk’s Country Club.

The men’s team finished last in the ten-team event. Lincoln was handicapped by the withdrawal of freshman Brock Kumlander (Mapelton) with a back injury. The loss of Kumlander left LC with just four participants in the event. Lincoln Community High School grad Jack White shot the lowest score for LC, turning in an 81 on the first day and an 80 on day two for a total of 161. Sophomore Adam Hoffman (Ashland) was ten strokes back of White with a two-day total of 171.

The LC Men’s team will next compete at the Eureka College Invite on September 13th.

The Lady Lynx squad was not able to compete as a team at this event due to only 2 players finishing the round both days. Sophomore Jenah Thompson (Mason City) turned in a two-round score of 212 and Danielle Abella, a freshman from Sherrard, Illinois finished one stroke behind her with a 213.
