Third Friday’s Downtown Lincoln to celebrate summer’s end
More FREE hands-on activities, inflatables for families on Sept. 21

There will be a sensory overload with 3rd Friday’s Downtown Lincoln this Friday, Sept. 21, as more action will hit the square than in the past. Kids of all ages will be able to take in what it’s like to work for the City of Lincoln as police, fire, and streets and alley work vehicles will be scattered across the downtown square.

For the Kids:

The family focused event will welcome an airplane simulator from the Heritage in Flight Museum, several inflatable play units, a bubble blowing station from Lincoln College, and CEFCU will host a balloon artist from The Unique Twist to offer another irresistible activity for the kiddos.

For the Adults:

The adults in the crowd can join in on the fun with a bags tournament sponsored by the Alley-Bi Saloon and Spirited Republic. The tournament and street party will be extended to 11 p.m. to ensure everyone has ample time to take advantage of the last day of summer. Adults can also let loose with their kids over oversized yard games including Jenga, Connect Four, and giant Kerplunk.

Live Music:

Bring your own lawn chair and cozy up to local musical favorite, Hoosier Daddy. The local cover band will perform on the corner of Kickapoo and Pulaski Streets.

About 3rd Friday’s Downtown Lincoln

Lincoln’s 3rd Friday’s Downtown events are held on the third Friday’s of each month from June through September, with a total of four event dates in 2018. The event hours are 5:30-8:30 p.m. and will be located on the square. The market will be positioned on Kickapoo Street between Pekin and Pulaski Streets. Each event may call for different street closures. Streets will be blocked to thru traffic from 4-9 p.m.
