Free Worldwide Day of Play Festivities at Lincoln Park District Saturday

[September 26, 2018]  From 1:00 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 29 area children are encouraged to join Nickelodeon in celebrating Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play presented by the Lincoln Park District and the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Community Health Collaborative.

For the 15th annual Worldwide Day of Play, Nickelodeon goes off the air and celebrates all things play-related with the simple message: Get up, get out, and go play!

The Lincoln Park District will be full of excitement for all ages with a variety of stations that will get everyone moving and having fun during this 2-hour outdoor event. Stations include an obstacle course, a family scavenger hunt, bubble station, a dance party and more. And of course, there will be slime. Participants should be prepared to get wet and/or slimy. All activities are free, and the scavenger hunt provides an opportunity to win free prizes.

We are excited to join Nickelodeon’s efforts to encourage children to get outside and play. And what better place than the Lincoln Park District?” said Angela Stoltzenburg, director of the ALMH Community Health Collaborative.

“Our messages to our local Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH) schools send the message about active lifestyles every day and we are a CATCH community. It’s exciting to provide this event to local kids.”
