[March 30, 2019]  On Wednesday morning a large group gathered outside the front door of the new Beltone Hearing Aid offices in downtown Lincoln to enjoy a ribbon cut in the bright sunshine.

The business is located in one portion of the former Heartland Community College location on Broadway Street.

Those on hand included owner Laurie Chiou and Chief Operating Officer Pamela Crow with Beltone.

Also on hand was Rick Reynolds who will serve the business as its hearing technician. The event began with opening comments welcoming the new business into the downtown area.

The building where Beltone is now located is the property of the Lincoln Public Library. On hand representing the library was Richard Sumrall. Sumrall spoke briefly saying he wanted to welcome Beltone. He noted that he has gotten to know Chiou and Crow very well and that the new business is going to be a great asset to our downtown community.

Chiou said she was excited to be coming to Lincoln and that it was a great location for their offices. She noted that it was a beautiful location with patients being able to look out and enjoy the view of the beautiful and historic Logan County Courthouse.

Lincoln Mayor Seth Goodman also took a few minutes to welcome the new business and thank them for investing in our community.

The Beltone offices in Lincoln will be open on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. On Friday’s the staff will make visits to local nursing and long-term care facilities and will also make house calls as needed.

After pictures the crowd joined in the countdown to the cut. Everyone was invited back inside the Beltone offices for a tour. Refreshments were served, free gifts were given and guests had the opportunity to speak one-on-one with the Beltone owner and staff.
