[April 10, 2019]   LINCOLN - The Lincoln Area Music Society Spring Concert  was held this weekend on Saturday and Sunday.  The concert delivered genuinely nice and melodic music directed by Julie Kasa.

The orchesta played a variety from 'The Greatest Showman' and 'Triumphal March.'

Then the chorale, directed by Tim Searby, sang lovely songs; a tribute to Judy Garland arranged by John Leavitt, Agnus Dei from Requiem was very beautiful, and Acappella Overtures arranged by Andy Beck.

The orchestra played the famous songs from 'Beauty and the Beast' followed by the Chorale singers singing 'The Day of Resurrection' and 'The Wide Missouri' arranged by Ruth Elaine Schram.

The concert ended with a strong note of 'God Bless America' played by the orchestra and sung by the chorale.

Along with a fine performance, LAMS also announced its 2019 scholarship recipients.

Representing Lincoln Area Music Society’s Board of Directors, Donnie Parker presented two scholarships given by LAMS each year.
