[April 10, 2019]  If you had to wear a color that described your mood on Easter Sunday what color would it be?

It is said that the colors of Easter represent things associated with the death and resurrection of Christ.

Purple is the color of royalty, but it also the color of suffering. There are many purple people at Easter time. They remember the death of a loved one, and they can't get beyond that thought.

Red is an Easter color too. Red is associated with the shedding of blood, sacrifice and agony. There are many red people at Easter time because they remember too well the humiliations of their past, as well as their own sufferings and trials.

There are other colors of Easter. There are blues that represents peace; gold that represents celebration and white that represents purity.

Easter People like to wear bright colors at Easter time because it reminds them that no matter how dark the night, joy comes in the morning.

St. Augustin used a phrase that has resonated across the centuries and even repeated by Pope John Paul II. He said, "Do not abandon yourself in despair; we are Easter People and 'Alleluia' is our song!"

Believers should be the people that represent Easter; people who are full of hope and sing new songs about tomorrow, hope and success!
Why do we believe we can be better, reach higher and overcome obstacles? Because we are Easter People, and that's what Easter People do!
