Habitat for Humanity of Logan County to host house blessing on their 24th Logan County home this Sunday

[April 26, 2019]   LINCOLN - Bill Sahs, president of the local Habitat for Humanity of Logan County and the HFHLC board have set Sunday, April 28, 2019 for the House Blessing/Dedication of Home #24. The program will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the site of the home at 617 Sixth Street.

This home was built by the Building and Trades class at Lincoln Community High School under the guidance of Jack Reichle and HFHLC co-chair Tom Frost.

Students participating in the build will be recognized on Sunday during the program.

As part of the Blessing Ceremony, the keys to the home will be presented to Sara Harvey who has fulfilled almost twice as many hours (250 required) in partnership with HFHLC in the build.

Placards in the home will lift up the businesses, individuals and churches who have assisted in any way with the build.

Following the ceremony a tour of the home will be available as well as refreshments furnished by First United Methodist Church.

The public is invited and encouraged to come out and help welcome Sara and her daughters Lynzie and Emma into their new home.
