Mount Pulaski Township plans to sealcoat (oil and chip) roads
beginning Tuesday, August 20th , 2019. This is subject to change,
depending on the weather (rain?).
Most of the roads to be sealed this year will be North of Route 54
and West of Route 121. Some of the roads will be coated twice, on
The various torn-up spots will primed either the evening before, or
the morning of, the day that the roads are sealed. This will be raw
oil; if time permits, we may cover the spots with a light coat of
rock; however, it is likely that they will NOT be covered.
You may drive through this prime, but drive VERY slowly.
The roads will be closed for varying periods of time, usually up to
an hour or so at most. We will attempt to keep "Road Closed" signs
up, front and back, to help guide traffic as much as we can. The
roads will be ready for traffic as soon as the rollers have moved

The gravel may rattle and ping when you drive on it for several hours due to the
oil cure time. This is normal and will not affect the road. Driving slowly will
eliminate oil spatter on your vehicles.
As always, your cooperation and patience are appreciated.
Feel free to call if you have questions or concerns.
