Bloomington man loses life in rural Atlanta

The Logan County Coroner, Robert Thomas, has announced that
Cory Casey, age 38, of Bloomington, IL. was pronounced deceased at 8:32 pm on August 17, 2019 . Mr. Casey was working on property he owned in rural Atlanta, Illinois. Mr. Casey sustained an injury while removing a fence post. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

This death is being investigated by the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, and the Logan County Coroner’s Office.

An autopsy was performed and the results are pending.
