If you have visited the Woods Café at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital, there is a great chance you have met Bob Hashman. He’s the
friendly smile behind the counter who was recently named the
November Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Colleague of the Month.
Hashman serves as the food service coordinator in the dietary
department at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. Hashman
began in the dietary department in 2001.
In his role, Hashman prepares food for patients, staff and Woods
Café customers. While his position also requires stocking,
inventory, and cleaning he reports the most important duty he has is
to provide great customer service. Hashman treats all patients,
staff, and visitors with grace, respect and gratitude.
“I’m proud to work for ALMH because ALMH strives to be the best and
it shows. We have so many talented staff but each of them is also
kindhearted, sympathetic, and we treat each other like family,” said
Hashman.
Hashman was nominated by colleagues who wanted to recognize his
kindness and culinary skills.
The nominations read, “Bob is always very polite to everyone. He is
helpful and kind. He clearly enjoys his job and enjoys dealing with
both customers and staff. His smile is contagious and we all love
Bob!” Another colleague noted, “He just brings joy to everyone!”
