Shenyang Jianzhu University was established in 1948 as the Shenyang Architecture and Civil Engineering Institute. While the University continues to give priority to civil engineering and architecture, it is now a comprehensive university offering multi-disciplinary education in literature, administration, nature science, agronomy and law in Liaoning Province, China.

The State of Illinois and Liaoning Province have had a sister state relationship since 1982, a formal declaration of goodwill and cooperation between two nations. Lincoln College is one of more than 40 universities in 30 countries working with Shenyang Jianzhu University and hopes to continue to strengthen that relationship.

“This program is not only a great asset for Lincoln College, but has tremendous benefits for Lincoln and Logan County, as we build ties with a premier educational institution in the world’s second largest economy,” Lincoln College President Dr. David Gerlach said.

Honorable Chairman of Shenyang Jianzhu University, Yukuan Dong, plans to visit the city of Lincoln in May 2020.
