On December 11, thirty-three members of the GFWC Lincoln Woman’s
Club visited the Illinois Governor’s Mansion in Springfield.
The notable home was built in 1855 and is one of the oldest and most
historic governor’s mansions in the United States. The Mansion
serves as the official residence of the Governor of Illinois and is
a world-class house museum. It has been newly redecorated in the
past few years and is currently decorated for the holiday season.
The State of Illinois has invited friends and families to make
reservations to participate in holiday tours at the Governor's
Mansion throughout the month of December.
