Garrett Skelton, son of Ashley Skelton of Mount Pulaski, has been
named January Senior of the month at Mount Pulaski High School. He
was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship,
leadership, service, and character.
Garrett enjoys being actively involved in sports and activities. He
has been a member of the track, football, soccer, and baseball teams
during his time at MPHS. He is also an active member of FCCLA, where
he currently serves as chapter president. He is also president of
the Parliamentary Procedure team. Garrett also participates in WYSE
and Science Olympiad.
Garrett earned a silver medal at the state and notional level for
Parliamentary Procedure through FCCLA in 2017. He also took second
in Chemistry regionals for WYSE.

Garrett plans to attend the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and study
Chemistry or Engineering.
The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by Conaway Handyman Service and
Downing, Przykopanski, Clements, & May Insurance Agency, Inc.. They are also in
the running for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year award sponsored by Illinois National
Bank.
