Heisman trophy winner, pro baseball player, professional quarterback and best-selling author Tim Tebow’s movie “Run The Race” is set for national release on Friday February 22, 2019. Lincoln Family Theater has secured the capability to present this film opening weekend, a tremendous piece of positive news for the local community.

As Tebow’s first film, and as a limited release, the majority of theaters would normally not be able to present “Run the Race” for several weeks. It has been LFT’s strong desire to bring this encouraging, faith-based film to the area on the premier release weekend and worked diligently to get this accomplished.

As part of this effort, Lincoln Family Theater has guaranteed the movie industry that a minimum number of tickets will be sold opening weekend. LFT will be offering “matinee pricing” for the entire run in Lincoln. Movie times for this weekend will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday starting with the first matinee time of 12:15 p.m.

“Run The Race” follows the story of two young brothers with an unbreakable bond, facing unbelievable odds. Reeling from their mother’s death and father’s abandonment, Zach finds glory on the football field. He works to earn a college scholarship in the hopes of securing a ticket out of town for himself and his brother David. A devastating injury sidelines Zach and David laces up his track cleats to salvage their future.

“I wanted to be part of something that’s encouraging and inspirational,’ said Tebow. “I believe ‘Run The Race’ accomplishes this by presenting two brothers struggling with real life issues, getting through by supporting each other through their faith. I hope those who see it can walk away with more faith, hope, and love.”
