Fifth Grade Wellness Expo Photo
Contest Winners Announced

On Friday, February 15, the Logan County Department of Public
Health, Lincoln Park District, and Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital
welcomed over 250 Logan County fifth graders to a Wellness Expo
event at the Lincoln Park District. As part of the event, they were
asked to submit a photograph of their favorite physical activity.
The first place winner was Lucas Melton from New Holland Middletown
Elementary School. Lucas won a free family pass the Lincoln Park
District pool.
Second place was awarded to Tyler Cross from Mount Pulaski Elementary
School. The prize for second place was an indoor pool party at
Lincoln College.

The third place winner was Eric Cooper also Mount Pulaski Elementary
School. Eric won a bowling party at Logan Lanes in Lincoln.
“The photo contest was a great opportunity to show off our fifth
graders and how they move and stay active,” said Angela
Stoltzenburg, ALMH Community Health Collaborative Director. “The
contest is inspired by our CATCH (Coordinated Approach to Child
Health) schools that are promoting healthy eating and active
lifestyles.”
All entries can currently be viewed at the Lincoln Park District.
Additionally, all the submissions will be featured in a commercial
to be played at the Lincoln Grand 8 this summer.
