Airport Manager Advisory Committee recommends Gene Rohlfs as manager

LINCOLN 

The Logan County Airport Manager Advisory Committee met at noon on Monday, January 7, 2019, in the Blue Room of the Logan County Safety Complex.

The committee was chaired by Judge David Coogan with members Larry Collins, Eric Hill, JoAnne Marlin and Bill Sahs in attendance. Collins and Hill are Atlanta residents while Marlin and Judge Coogan are Lincoln residents and Sahs resides in rural Lincoln.

The purpose of the meeting was to select a person to act as Logan County Airport Manager. The position of airport manager was advertised in Lincoln Daily News, New Herald News, The Courier, and the Logan County website for the requisite number of days.


Logan County received one resume requesting consideration for the position of airport manager. The sealed resume was then passed on to the Advisory Committee.

The person applying for the position was Lincoln resident Gene Rohlfs. Mr. Rohlfs is currently a member of the Logan County Board and chairman of the Airport Committee.

The Advisory Committee voted unanimously to recommend Mr. Rohlfs for the position of airport manager, and to forward their recommendation to the full Logan County Board.
