Again Teaching Music at Park District

LINCOLN
Students from the Lincoln College Contemporary Jazz
program are again teaming up with the Lincoln Park District to offer
individual music lessons on Wednesday afternoons.
Individual instruction in tenor saxophone, trombone,
beginning piano, guitar and electric bass will be offered to
students age six to 13 beginning Jan. 30 and running through March
6. Sessions last 30 minutes and are available between 4:30-6:30 p.m.
each Wednesday. Interested persons should register by calling the
Park District at (217) 732-8770 by Wednesday, Jan. 23.
Student instructors from Lincoln College are under
the supervision of Jazz Studies lead faculty Denise La Grassa.

The students will customize lessons for everyonefrom first-time
beginners learning to read music to the moreintermediate player
interested in beginning improvisation skills.
