LINCOLN

Snow route parking bans will go in to effect at 6:00 p.m. Friday January 18, 2019 in the city of Lincoln. The Lincoln Street Department ask that citizens obey all parking regulations including the no parking in the downtown area between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.

The Department also requests that citizens utilize off street parking in all other areas if at all possible. This will help expedite snow removal operations and allow crews to plow curb to curb and get through the narrower streets and the streets with boulevards.

On Street parking will be prohibited on the following streets:

  • Lincoln Ave. from College Ave. to N. Union Street

  • Park Place from N. Union to N. Elm Street

  • North side of Pulaski Street between S. Ladue and S. Sherman Streets.

  • Southgate from N. Kickapoo to Bond Street

  • Wyatt Ave. from Railer Way to S. McLean Street

Crews will begin plowing at approximately 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning if forecasts are accurate. The Parking ban will be in effect through 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Parking may resume once accumulating snow has stopped and plows have cleared street curb to curb.

Also the Landscape Waste Facility will be closed Saturday.
