Mount Pulaski edges Athens 48-46
Skylar Hayes scores 31 and ties the all-time MPHS scoring record

The Mount Pulaski Lady Toppers held off a late surge by the Athens Lady Warriors Monday night in Athens and the purple and gold walked away with the 48-46 victory. Skylar Hayes led all scorers with 31 points. Hayes is now tied with Jeff Clements for the all-time scoring record at Mount Pulaski High School. Clements set the record of 2,212 career points back in 1978.

Hayes will have a shot at breaking the record tonight in front of the home crowd as Mount Pulaski hosts Argenta-Oreana. JV tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and Varsity is set for 7:30 p.m.
