Four men are being held at the Logan County Jail for a series of burglaries spanning a two week period. The burglaries occurred to unlocked vehicles and detached garages primarily in the southern part of Logan County to include Chestnut, Mount Pulaski and Elkhart. Additionally, Beason was affected and at least one incident in Lincoln has now been tied to one or more of the individuals. The investigation is on-going.

The four men in custody were arrested on Friday, January 18, 2019.

Brady Luckhart, 21, of 22 Jamestown, Riverton,

Sheriff Mark Landers would like to remind Logan County residents to lock the doors of their vehicles and to lock the doors and windows of their homes. The suspects in this case predominately chose vehicles and buildings that were left unsecured.

Furthermore, firearms should be secured at all times. A loaded handgun was taken from an unsecured vehicle in Mount Pulaski. Investigators were able to make the arrests a few hours after the handgun was reported stolen. However, this could have ended tragically.

The arrests were the culmination of a cooperative effort between the Logan County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division and Mount Pulaski Police.
