| 4-H Alumni Chili-Chocolate 
			Cook-off winners named

			The Logan County 4-H Alumni recently hosted a Chocolate/Chili 
			Cookoff where celebrity judges tasted each entry/recipe to determine 
			a winner. 
 This year 4-H youth were also invited to make entries in the 
			contest. A total of seven chili entries were received (including two 
			youth) and eight chocolate recipe entries were received (including 
			two youth).
 
 Celebrity judges included Logan County Board member, Janet Estill; 
			Lincoln Community High School Culinary Arts teacher, Brenda Silano; 
			Assistant Superintendent of Logan County Fair Culinary Arts 
			Department, Jena Read; and Nancy Schaub. Logan County Fair Queen, 
			Molly Schempp, tallied the scores and awarded prizes to winners.

			The top entries selected by the judges were Pam Tibbs’ chili entry 
			and Pam Tibbs’ chocolate entry with “runner up” chili awarded to 
			Carol Tibbs. Top youth entries selected included Daniel Crider with 
			top chili and top chocolate with “runner up” chocolate awarded to 
			Mollie Rose Williams.

Those in attendance were also able to vote for their “crowd favorite” and the 
winners of crowd favorite were Ethan Bertram’s chili recipe and Val Leinenbach’s 
chocolate recipe.
