LINCOLN
At the Tuesday night meeting of the Lincoln City Council, Fire Chief
Mark Miller announced that he plans to take his retirement from the
department effective May 3, 2019. He requested that the city move
forward next week with approving his replacement so as to assure a
smooth transition within the department.
Mayor Seth Goodman said that he had already reviewed the
qualifications of three candidates. He has concluded that the best
person to fill the position of chief would be Bob Danoksy.
Miller agreed saying that Dunovsky has been with the department since
1995 and is well qualified to take on the higher position. Dunovsky
is currently an Assistant Chief with the department.

Miller said that Dunovsky has worked up through the ranks, and as assistant has
worked with and assisted Miller in a variety of duties associated with the chief
position.
The council will be asked to approve the appointment at the voting session on
February 4th. If approved, Dunovsky would be sworn into his new position in May
upon the retirement of Miller.
