Bethany Rademaker has announced her intention to run as a candidate
for the Republican nomination for the office of Circuit Court Clerk
of Logan County in the 2020 primary election. She is a lifelong
resident of Lincoln, Illinois. A graduate of Lincoln Community High
School, she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business
Administration and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership
from Lincoln Christian University. While earning her Master's
Degree, Rademaker worked in the Logan County Clerk and Recorder's
Office for five years. "I learned from some of the best and most
accomplished public servants working as a deputy in the County
Clerk's office," she said. “All of the dedicated people who work in
the Courthouse have been my mentors. They paved the road for those
of us who desire to build a career in County government. I am
grateful for everything I learned as member of the County Clerk's
staff for those five years," Rademaker said.
Rademaker is currently employed by the American Council of
Engineering Companies as Director of Events and Accounts Payable
where she is responsible for an annual budget in excess of $1
million. “Similar to businesses in the private sector, leadership of
a County office requires precise financial oversight, comprehensive
management, effective collaboration with other officials and
compliance with all laws and policies. My educational background in
Business Administration at the undergraduate level and Master's
Degree in Organizational Leadership provide me with a solid
educational foundation. Combined with my five years of service in
the office of the County Clerk and Recorder and over three years in
my present position, I believe I am uniquely qualified to be Logan
County Circuit Court Clerk,” she said.

In addition to her prior public service in County government,
Rademaker has served her community through involvement on numerous
committees and volunteer groups. She is the Logan County Fair Queen
Pageant Director, an officer and member of the Lincoln Emblem Club
#433, serves on the Logan County Professionals Network committee and
the Harvest of Talents for World Hunger committee.

She has been a Lincoln Christian Church volunteer for ten years and Relay for
Life volunteer for eight years. She is also a certified fitness instructor
teaching fitness classes locally.
Rademaker has been considering running for Circuit Court Clerk since she learned
that current Circuit Clerk Mary Kelley planned to retire. “I have known Mary
Kelley for several years and I respect her incredible work ethic with over 40
years of service, as well as the efficiency of the office she and her staff have
established,” Rademaker said.

“I am running for Circuit Clerk because I want to give back to the County that
has been so good to my family and I,” Rademaker stated. “My goal is to earn the
trust of the citizens of Logan County so that I can contribute to my home County
as a public servant,” she said. “I am enthusiastically looking forward to
meeting as many voters as possible and I am excited about the upcoming
campaign.”
Rademaker extends her thanks to her family and many loyal friends, who support
her in her decision to pursue her goal of running for Circuit Court Clerk. She
resides in Lincoln with her husband, Gary Rademaker, formerly of Emden,
Illinois. They have two children. Her parents are Dr. Robert and Mary Ann Rea
and she has one sister, Hannah Rea. “I invite anyone with questions about my
candidacy to contact me at
rademaker forcircuitclerk@gmail.com.  “I am eager to work hard to earn
the trust of the people of Logan County and I humbly ask for their support,” she
concluded.
