[July 22, 2019]
The Center for Creativity & Community will be hosting a drumming
circle facilitated by Tiffany McBride on Sunday, July 28th, at
2–3:00 PM. It is free and open to the public.
A drum circle is a group of people gathered together to play
percussion instruments in an informal and collaborative setting.
According to McBride, the purpose is to build community, create
harmony, and celebrate life through rhythm and music. It is
empowering, playful, and relaxing.
People of all ages are invited to come and share their rhythmical
spirit. No musical experience is necessary. Participants are
encouraged to bring a drum or percussion instrument if available.
And if not, a simple pan, bucket, or even two sticks make good
rhythm instruments. People are also welcome to just come and listen.
