Judge Jonathan Wright, a resident of Emden, Illinois, announced his
candidacy for election as resident Circuit Judge for Logan County.
Wright has been serving by appointment of the Illinois Supreme Court

Court Justice Rita Garman commented on the experience Judge Wright

peers, admired for his professional competence and civility. He has
significant trial experience. And he is well prepared for the work
that awaits him as a circuit judge,” said Justice Garman.
Judge Wright said he is honored to serve in this role. “I am humbled
by the confidence that Justice Garman and the Illinois Supreme Court
have placed in me. The courts are an integral role in the lives of
the citizens of this state and it is an honor to serve as circuit
judge.”
Wright is a cum laude graduate of Monmouth College and received his
