Delavan Quilt Guild plans Labor Day weekend show

The Delavan Quilt Guild will be hosting
a Quilt Show in conjunction with the Delavan Fall Festival, Labor
Day weekend on Sunday, Sept. 1 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and Monday,
Sept. 2 from noon to 5:00 pm. |

 The show will be held in the air conditioned gym
of Delavan High School at 907 S. Locust St, Delavan.
The show will feature over 100 quilts of all sizes and styles from
Guild members and the general public. Block construction
demonstrations and hand quilting demonstrations will take place from
1-3 each day. Some other features will be a raffle of a Bulls-Eye
pattern quilt, Chinese Auction, Adopt a Block sale and a Quilts of
Valor display. A dessert bar and drinks will be available both days.

Admission is by donation. Proceeds will be used to help local
charities.

The Delavan Quilt Guild meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the
meeting room of First Farmers State Bank at 301 N Locust Street in Delavan. All
are welcome.
