Atlanta Needlework Guild and Atlanta Quilt Corner has awarded the
second of the four quilts in their raffle for the benefit of the
Atlanta Park District, Memorial House projects.
Memorial Day was the second drawing for a handmade quilt. The
drawing was held at the Atlanta Fire Barn with Roger Dooley, of
Vista Park, Illinois, the winner. Participants still have two
chances to win a quilt, with the next drawing being held, July 4th,
8:00 p.m., at the Dixie Restaurant, McLean, Illinois. The last
drawing will be held at the Atlanta Fall Festival, Atlanta Park
stage, on September 14th, 9:00 p.m.
The remaining two quilts for the raffle are on display: the July 4th
quilt is at the Dixie Restaurant and the September 14th quilt is at
the Atlanta Public Library. Tickets are still available for purchase
at the two display sites.
