On
Sunday, the Lincoln Odd Fellows and Christian Child Care celebrated
their 200th and 30th anniversaries respectively, together in a large
event that brought in about 200 people for a picnic, entertainment,
and a chance to tour the childcare facility and the Odd Fellows
Museum. Odd Fellows was initially formed in Baltimore, Maryland in
the late 1800s. For many years an orphanage was operated on the
property on Wyatt Avenue in Lincoln. Christian Child Care has been
working in Logan County since 1989, moving to the Wyatt Avenue
location in 2003.

College Volleyball Coach Mark Tippett is pleased with
the recent additions that have been made to his team’s
2019 roster. The Lady Lynx, who will return their entire
starting lineup from the 2018 squad that went 17-17 in
their first season of varsity competition as a member of
the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics
(NAIA), have recently added four transfer players to the
mix and a number of talented high school seniors will be
entering the program as well.
