Lincoln Junior High Trojans wrestling team is
sending five state qualifiers to next weekend’s IESA State
wrestling finals held in DeKalb Illinois on Friday and Saturday,
March 8-9.
Advancing for the Trojans:
75lb Miley Sampson 4thplace,
90lb Jacob Lawrence 3rd place,
105lb Colbie Glenn 3rd place, 112lb
Isaac Decker 4th place,
185lb Niccolas Sundeen with 2nd place.
The top four place winners at sectionals qualify for the state
tournament.
Overall it has been a pretty good season with a 15-11 team
record, three kids with at least 30 wins this season and a lot
of exciting matches, and to top it off with five heading to the
state tournament shows how hard work pays off according to Coach
Alex Dawson.
