[March 25, 2019]   TK’s Grill is a curious spot, tucked in the middle of a sprawling golf course and nestled right next to the country club pool and watering hole. The second restaurant of co-owner Travis Schleder, TK’s boasts both a pleasing and calming atmosphere as well as breathtaking dining views.

Located in the heart of the Lincoln Elks, both Schleder and his partner, Matt Knight, are looking forward to bringing a new flavor to town. Focusing on a traditional American grill fare with a modern twist, they are excited to offer hand crafted burgers and sandwiches, smoked meats, hand cut steaks, seafood, seasonal salads and much more. TK’s Grill will be bringing the community fine dining at affordable prices.

Using high quality products and homemade recipes is the backbone of the TK’s Grill foodservice standards, ensuring that guests have the best dining experience possible. With delicious food and friendly staff, Matt and Travis strive to provide an atmosphere that will appeal to everyone.

In a time when big companies and bigger towns draw most of the crowds, Travis and Matt are eager to bring the community in and keep them local. Schleder says, ‘We really understand the importance of a small town business. When you support a local crew in a small town versus driving somewhere like Bloomington and eating at a corporation, you see where your money goes. You are supporting a family. You are keeping a community thriving. You get to know the owners and the staff and you feel like a family. We want you all to come in, have a great meal, chat with us and feel like our restaurant can be your second home.’

Travis and Matt know the area like the backs of their hands. Lifelong friends, both men are graduates of Lincoln Community High School. Knight and his fiancé, Heather Danley, still reside in Lincoln and plan to raise their future family here. Schleder and his family, wife Nikki and children Lennon and Lyle, are also deeply rooted in the community.

TK’s Grill will not be short on staff having handfuls of experience. Travis currently owns and operates the Stag-R-Inn in Emden, where Matt was the kitchen manager for two years. Head chef Nolan Lessen comes from the Stag-R-Inn kitchen as well, where he worked for several years perfecting his trade. Waitress Manager Amy Weidhuner has decades of experience in the restaurant business.

Please come out and support this local, family friendly establishment when they open their doors on March 30th! A ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday will immediately precede the grand opening.
