Golfers can hit the links early and benefit Logan County students
			this May.
Heartland Community College Foundation is looking for players and
sponsors for the Lincoln Scholarship Scramble Golf Outing on Friday,
May 10 at Lincoln Elks Country Club (1020 1520th St., Lincoln, IL).

The golf outing raises scholarship funding for Logan County students
attending or planning to attend Heartland Community College.

“This event is a wonderful way to connect with the community and
make an impact by benefitting local students at Lincoln Center,”
said Kristi Powell, Associate Director of Heartland Lincoln Center.
“The funds raised go towards scholarships for Logan Country
			students.”

Since opening in the spring of 2018, the new Heartland Lincoln
Center facility has offered expanded Work Ready programs including a
Phlebotomy class which boasted a 100 percent pass rate. The larger
center gives Logan County students an increased number of options
			closer to home.

“We’ve been able to add Agriculture classes to the curriculum in Lincoln and
this fall we will also offer a Certified Nursing Assistant program,” Powell
said. “The development of these new programs and courses provides opportunities
for the HCC Foundation to assist even more Logan County students with
scholarship assistance.”

There are a wide variety of Foundation scholarships available for students
including those entering high-demand fields, experiencing financial need, high
achieving learners, and for those who are the first member of their family to
attend college.
The golf outing format is a four person scramble with cart, greens fees, and a
catered lunch and dinner included in the registration fee.

Registration begins at 11 a.m. with lunch ahead of a noon shotgun start.

Online registration for the golf outing is available at hccfoundation.org. For
additional information contact the Foundation at 309-268-8110 or foundation@heartland.edu.
