The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Flood Warning for...

Menard County in central Illinois...

Logan County in central Illinois...

De Witt County in central Illinois...

Southeastern Tazewell County in central Illinois...

McLean County in central Illinois...

Southeastern Mason County in central Illinois...

Northwestern Macon County in central Illinois...

* Until 245 PM CDT.

* At 846 AM CDT, local law enforcement and the public reported
flooding has closed several roads, due to 2 to 4 inches of rain since yesterday afternoon. The road itself may be compromised in some areas, especially in rural locations. Any rain the rest of
the morning will be light, but the water will be slow to recede due to the saturated soil and full drainage ditches.

* Flooding will primarily impact rural locations, as well as normal flood prone areas in towns and cities.

This includes the following highways...

Interstate 155 between mile markers 0 and 23.

Interstate 39 between mile markers 0 and 7.

Interstate 55 between mile markers 112 and 176.

Interstate 74 between mile markers 119 and 153.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
