The Olympia FFA Livestock Judging Team competed at the Lincoln Land
Community College Livestock Judging CDE on Thursday, April 18th. The
team placed third out of 53 teams from mostly central Illinois.
Lincoln Land Community College hosted the CDE at the Illinois State
Fairgrounds in Springfield.
The Olympia team was led by junior, Kaylin Simpson who placed 17th
out of 288 individuals. The other team members included: Molly
Schempp (18th), Ty Miller (21st), Bailey Rogers (26th), Cavit
Schempp, Lane Schweigert, Josie Litwiller, Ethan Davis, and Noah
Reber.
Mr. Hoffman stated, "I have been really pleased with how everyone
has judged the past few weeks. They made it very tough on me to
narrow it down to the five who will compete at the State Livestock
Judging CDE."
