awards scholarship to two outstanding W/L high school seniors

Warrensburg-Latham Lions Club awarded scholarships to Rydon K.
Jalley and Jarius J. Ingram at the school’s annual Honors Awards
Program. The scholarships were $1,500. Both recipients have been
students in the school district from kindergarten through high
school.
Rydon Jalley will attend Parkland College in Champaign, Ill., for
two years, participating in the Parkland Pathway Program, a
partnership program with the University of Illinois, to complete his
pre-engineering coursework. He will then transfer to the U of I to
earn a degree in civil engineering. He intends to complete two
internships by the time he earns his degree.
Rydon is an Eagle Scout and was a member of the Illinois All-State
Honors Orchestra and Chorus and as a member of the W-L track relay
team, competed at the Illinois State Track Meet.

Jarius Ingram will attend Millikin University to obtain a Bachelor of Science
degree in Biology, pre-medicine tract. He plans to later attend medical school.
Jarius, a member of the W-L basketball and track teams, was named Macon County
High School Basketball Player of the Year and a state track champion. He will
serve as valedictorian of his graduating class.
Both Rydon and Jarius are active volunteers in the community and their
respective churches.
