Railsplitters win 10-4 over Jacksonville on Senior Night 

[May 13, 2019]    The Lincoln Railsplitters honored eight senior ballplayers Monday night at Mike Curry Field just ahead of the game with Jacksonville.

2019 Railsplitters honored on Senior Night ~ Matt West, Cameron Glick, Brenden Eigenbrod, Colton Holliday, Drew Singleton, Bryce Watkins, Peyton Rickord and Nate Arnold

Those seniors recognized, along with their parents, were Matt West, Cameron Glick, Brenden Eigenbrod, Colton Holliday, Drew Singleton, Bryce Watkins, Peyton Rickord and Nate Arnold. 

The Railsplitters then went out and took care of business with leadoff hitter and senior Drew Singleton leading the way. Singleton was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with two runs scored and a run batted in as Lincoln took down Jacksonville by a final score of 10-4.

Lincoln broke a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly by Justin Long. 

The Railsplitters added five more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. A sacrifice by Nate Arnold scored Will Ewald. Brenden Eigenbrod added an RBI single and Justin Long capped things off with a two-run double. After Noah Funk scored on an error, the Railsplitters were up 10-4. A quick top half of the seventh inning by Alex Bogdanic allowed Lincoln to get the win on Senior Night. 

Bogdanic went the distance for Lincoln and got the win. He allowed four runs on three hits over seven innings. He struck out six batters. 

Noah Funk, Brenden Eigenbrod, Colton Holliday, Dylan Singleton and Will Ewald each had two hits apiece for Lincoln as the Railsplitters offense exploded for 16 hits. 

Lincoln improves to 17-12 on the season.
