				Mount Pulaski kicked off their
2nd Friday on the Square event on Friday, May 10, 2019. The town
square was filled with people from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. enjoying
live music, craft vendors, food, drinks and kids activities.

Thanks in part to the wonderful
evening weather, the first event of the year was a success.

While there were many things to
interest all ages on the square, a highlight was the
introduction of the Market on the Hill, which is a Mount Pulaski
Community Owned Grocery and Meat Market coming in early 2020.
The town has been without a local grocery store for a few years
now and folks are really in need of buying local fresh produce
				and meat.

Shaun Tyson of Mount Pulaski is just one of the local residents involved with
the Market on the Hill. Tyson was giving out free vegetables Friday night, along
with assistance from Kaden Mott, and by all accounts everything they handed out
was delicious. Market on the Hill will be located on the town square at 123 S.
Lafayette St. when open for business in early 2020.

				The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile
also made a surprise appearance at the event. The Wienermobile
is currently being driven by Mount Pulaski's own Cady Lowery.
Following a birthday party at Pizza Man, Lowery gave rides to
				kids uptown on the square.

				Second
Friday on the Square will take place May thru September, leading
up to the town's 2019 Fall Festival. Please mark the following
				dates on your calendar:

				September 13
