The Railsplitters continue to add wins to their season record. On Tuesday they defeated the Taylorville Tornadoes by a final score of 12-1.

The Railsplitters put four runs across in the top of the first inning in support of starting pitcher Colton Holliday. Brenden Eigenbrod's RBI single was the big hit of the inning to ignite the Lincoln offense.

Lincoln scored twice in the third inning and again four times in the fourth inning. The fourth inning was highlighted by a bases-clearing double by Drew Singleton. Keagan Ferguson also added an RBI double in that big inning.

In the top of the fifth inning an RBI double by Eigenbrod made the score 11-1. Devyn Snow scored on a wild pitch to make the Railsplitters lead 12-1.

Holliday shut down the Tornadoes in the bottom of the fifth inning with two strikeouts and a groundout to end the game. Lincoln gets the 12-1 win.

Holliday allowed one run on three hits and struck out nine batters to get the win.

Blake Donnan took the loss for Taylorville.

Drew Singleton and Brenden Eigenbrod were each 3-for-4 at the plate for Lincoln.
