Logan County Sheriff:  Verizon cell service still out in Logan County

LINCOLN 

The Logan County Sheriff's Office has been made aware of customers of Verizon not being able to send or receive calls, especially to 911.

Logan County Emergency Management and Logan Dispatch have reached out to Verizon who could not provide information on a restoration time or date.

Verizon presumes a large outage in the Springfield area is affecting customers in Logan County.  Logan County has confirmed problems with Verizon customers not being able to call and/or stay connected during emergency calls to 911.

Sheriff Mark Landers wants to remind our citizens who happen to be Verizon customers that you may have problems calling 911 to report an emergency.

This outage could also affect the ability to receive important alerts such as severe weather alters.

Verizon has been made aware of outages also affecting their internet and landline services as well.

Althous Verizon has not provided a restoration time or date, they ask anyone having problems with their service to contact their customer service and report issues.
