The warm interior of the Lincoln Art Institute welcomes visitors on a cold Thursday evening for the annual Logan County Arts fundraiser.

A clearing winter sky in downtown Lincoln appears as the art auction gets underway.

Come on in!

“Flag” by Steve Stover.

“A Winter’s Night” A woven tapestry throw made by imposing a photograph of Pam Moriearty’s backyard on a blank tapestry. “When I do one of these, the distribution of color always surprises me," Pam said. This application uses colored thread in the horizontal weaving, and black and white in the vertical.

Speaking of a medley, the treats were ever popular. Each artist brings a dish to share with the visitors at each opening. Wine, cheese, grilled pork belly, and home baked cookies highlighted this month’s table.

“The Peaceable Kingdom” by Cheryl Spove. A close look is necessary to appreciated all of the layers of her work.

Art lines the walls of the Lincoln Art Institute, all available to take home and spiff up your collection.

“Autumn Medley” by Tony Shuff.
