[September 30, 2019]    The Lincoln College Bowling program, under the direction of Head Coach Candace Van Bogaert, recently competed in their first event as a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Lynx traveled to Muncie, Indiana over the weekend to compete in the Ball State University Classic. After two days of competition, the men’s team placed 12th out of 16 teams with a total pin fall of 6446 pins while the women’s placed 12th out of 12 teams with total pin fall of 5002 pins.

Coach Van Bogaert saw the event as a positive learning experience for her young team. “Overall, I was pleased with how both teams adapted to their first collegiate bowling tournament,” said Van Bogaert. “We struggled from time to time, but that is to be expected for our first tournament of the season. The next three weeks will be a good time for us to fine tune things before our next tournament.”

Lincoln’s next event will be the Mid-States Championships October 19th and 20th in Wichita, KS.
