CAPCIL Transit, operated through
Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois, has been providing
transportation for Logan and Mason Counties for the past 30+ years.

CAPCIL Transit offers on-demand transports to seniors
(60+) with a 24-hour prior notice. Ryne Komnick, Chief Operations
Officer and overseer of the transportation program stated, “Our
number one priority is offering the best experience for our
customers. Our on-demand system best fits the needs of our riders
and the community”.
Since returning to on-demand services we have seen great success and
have added new contracts with organizations in the local community.
Majority of our riders utilize CAPCIL to get to and from their
medical appointments including dialysis, doctor appointments, and/or
laboratory needs at the local hospital. This service limits stress
from family members knowing their loved one is cared for and being
transported safely. Our drivers are compassionate, trustworthy and
first aid trained. Our ADA accessible vehicles allow us to transport
all riders with accessibility requirements. Riders are welcome to
utilize our services for local shopping, dining, events and/or
visits to other local businesses. Rural pick up and drop off
locations are available covering all square miles of both Logan and
Mason Counties.

Customers can call
217-732-1056 to schedule their ride. Eligible riders (seniors age
60+) can ride for FREE. CAPCIL encourages a suggested donation of
$2.50 to help offset costs however, no eligible rider will be denied
service for their inability to donate. Donations help support travel
expenses including mileage, gasoline, and general vehicle
maintenance. Monetary donations can be made on behalf of a CAPCIL
customer on a monthly or annual basis.
It is the mission of CAPCIL, in partnership with communities in our
service area, to empower persons with low income and the aged by
creating and implementing poverty-fighting initiatives for those in
crisis and those that endeavor a life of lasting independence.
CAPCIL Transit funding provided in whole or part by Illinois
Department of Transportation, The United Way of Logan County, and
Area Agency on Aging for Lincolnland.
