Three area volleyball teams end season in regionals

- Lincoln falls to U-High 25-8 and 25-16

- Mount Pulaski falls to Athens 25-13 and 25-18

- Hartsburg-Emden falls to Springfield Lutheran 23-25, 25-21 and 25-15.

The Hartem Stags 2019 volleyball season came to an end Wednesday night at the hands of the Springfield Lutheran Crusaders. After edging the Crusaders 25-23 in the first set, the Crusaders bounced back to take set two 25-21. Lutheran then dominated set three 25-15 over the Stags.

Grace Beekman led Hartem with 18 kills, 18 digs and 4 blocks.
Avah Classen had 20 assists.
Emily Craig had 19 digs.
Hattie Langley had 8 points.
Sami Perschall contributed 7 points.

Springfield Lutheran (no. 5) will play Athens (no. 1) at 6 p.m. in the regional championship tonight at Mount Pulaski.
